What is a noun?
A noun is often defined as a word which names a person, place or thing.

John is a noun because it is the name of a person.

India is a noun because it is the name of a place.

Television is a noun because it is the name of a thing.

What is a pronoun?
A pronoun is often defined as a word which can be used instead of a noun.

For example
Mary is reading a book. Mary is an intelligent girl.
Instead of using Mary again in a sentence we can use pronoun she.
We can say She is an intelligent girl.

What is an adjective?
An adjective is often defined as a word which describes or gives more information about a noun or pronoun.

For example
Smith is a lazy boy. The word lazy is an adjective which gives more information about the noun Smith.
